Celebrate CT Summer Soirée

A Night to Remember at 2265 Post Road Darien CT with Book and Co. Real Estate and William Raveis, and other amazing local businesses

Rocking West 2 Westport with my boy Zac Mathias

When Helen and I sat down for lunch on a rainy Monday in June neither one of us knew we’d end up planning an influencer event to remember. Yet, over iced teas and custard tart, an idea was born: combine the real estate market with influencer marketing, as well as partnerships with some of Helen and I’s favorite local businesses. Do all this, and you’ve got yourself a party.

Helen, Claire, Anamarie, and Alexandra partying it up at 2265 Post AKA The Garden Gate.

I never could have planned this event alone, so before I go any further I want to send a big thank you to my cohost Helen! Helen and I met a Soul Cycle Event in January and I’ve had the best time getting to know her over the past few months. She truly is a rockstar, And I’m so lucky to have her as a friend and a co-host!

First let’s talk about the outfit! My white pantsuit is from West 2 Westport, as are Zac’s cheetah pants ( literally these were PURRRFECT for him 😉 and we were both so excited to partner with this Westport based boutique that offers such a unique curation of apparel and accessories!

Now, let’s talk about the venue. When Helen and I came up with this idea to host the event at a house currently on the market in Fairfield County, Zillow became our best friend. Right now there are so many beautiful homes on the market, however very few have history, charm, and personality. Cue The Garden Gate: a Victorian build in 1856, yet remodeled to answer any of the wants, wishes, and needs of the modern-day home buyer.

Stacy Book the owner and broker of The Garden Gate could not have been sweeter. She was so kind to welcome us all into her home, and the space itself was perfect for entertaining!

You’ll notice from the photos that the home has maintained its Victorian charm even after over 150 years. Stacy has done an excellent job at creating an elegant and comfortable home that really is one of a kind! Stacy is part of Book and Co. Real Estate which is a part of William Raveis, so if youre looking to sell or buy Stacy and her team are your go to girls!

Helen and I were thrilled to be partnering with Cynthia Princi, a Fairfield County Stager who brought in some amazing pieces for the event!

When throwing this event, Helen and I wanted to make sure there was enough room for guests to sit, stand, and mingle. Cynthia Princi did an amazing job of creating a space that was both comfortable and beautiful, and for any of you ladies looking to spruce up your home before putting it on the market, Cynthia is the woman to call!

Additionally, a big thank you to Cottages and Garden for bringing their magazines, covering the event on their Instagram, and publishing a write up of the event ( which you can see here!) Helen and I are big CTCG fans, so we were thrilled to have them at the event.

Here’s Caitlin sitting on a Chappy Wrap, which for those of you who don’t know is an all-purpose blanket that is durable, washable, and oh so cozy!

Now onto the beverages! I’m not much of a drinker but, when I say Cylinder vodka is good I mean it’s really good! Stellios is the owner of Cylinder and he partnered with us to create a delicious vodka lemonade with a recipe you can follow down below! Additionally, for all my local gals, Tipsea Trailer is an absolute must for your next event! Weddings, grad parties, block parties, whatever your next party is, I suggest booking this airstream bar! Meghan is located in Rowayton, and she got the idea after her business partner told her that airstream bars were all the rage in the UK but were completely unknown in the US. A big thanks to Megan and the whole Tipsea Trailer team for not only partnering with us, but for bringing this fabulous idea across the pond!

A big thanks to Lexi Jann for creating the beautiful illustration and calligraphy for this event!
Caitlin, Claire, Helen, and Stellios enjoying the signature Cylinder cocktail in the Tipsea Trailer

Now, for anyone who wasn’t interested in our signature cocktail we had an equally amazing alcohol free beverage called Bimble. Jay, the founder, was unable to make it to the event, but his CBD drink ( that is completely THC free!) was surely a hit!

The grapefruit basil mint flavor was to die for!

A party is never complete without amazing food, and several local businesses were so excited to partner with us on this event, and provide some beautiful and tasty bites!

First I’d like to make a big thank you to Megan from Four Forks. Helen and I provided her with a few photos to go off of, and she went completely above and beyond. For those of you who don’t know Four Forks is a Darien based catering and family meal prep company that strives to use mostly, if not all organic ingredients. Megan provided the crudites and fruit kabobs of our dreams, and we couldnt be happier with the results!

I’m sure some of you are wondering where that cheese platter came from, and I can’t say enough good things about The Fairfield Greenwich Cheese Company. They did a wonderful job of selecting four different cheeses that were such crowd pleasers. additionally, the candied nuts were so yummy I couldn’t stop snacking on them all night!

Helen and I love partnering with local businesses, and we love when they have a meaningful purpose. Fjord fisheries ( which has locations in Fairfield and Westchester Counties) serves seafood that has been sustainably sourced, meaning you can enjoy your shellfish and sushi without worrying about where it came from!

When deciding which bakery to partner with for this event, the choice couldnt have been easier! I’ve been shopping at Palmers since I was young enough to sit in the cart, and Valerie who helped us with all-out baked goods needs could;t have been sweeter. Palmers did an amazing job at creating these iced cookies ( Stellios couldn’t have been more excited about the Cylinder cookies) and the amazing naked caked that was as beautiful as it was delicious!

Finally, I want to give a big thank you to Bob and Raya from Nielsens! They created these floral arrangements that were truthfully mindblowing (I mean do you see those blue Hydrangeas?) Even with the rainy weather the two of them were such troopers and really helped transform the space into a garden wonderland!

A big thank you to all out partners on this event! You al helped to make this event truly special and we were so glad to have worked together!
